There is probably no business or organization that can't do better with a good theme. A "theme" is a unifying idea for the business which identifies your primary service or product, or which communicates your organization's reason for existing.
A theme should be 9 words or less. It can be but is not necessarily a "slogan," which is more often just a brief two to five word cute saying.
The ideal theme should be able to nicely evolve into the rest of your "message," such as your products or services.
Many political campaigns identify themes to express something positive about their candidates, although many do come up short in that effort. A business or organization that successfully comes up with a good theme can use it widely to sell or communicate their product or service.
Once you've identified the theme of your workplace, your employees will feel more connected, and your advertising and customer service will likely be enhanced.

SOME EXAMPLES OF EFFECTIVE THEMES* (Can you recognize them?):
"A Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Lose."
"Compassionate Conservatism."
"Bridge To The 21st Century."
"Teach Tolerance, Learn Acceptance."
"We'll Leave The Light On For You."
"Melts In Your Mouth, Not In Your Hands."
"Not Your Typical Bank."
"Think Globally, Act Locally."
*These are not my creations, but communicate the power of effective themes and slogans.
